RunTK Tools: runtk.com
Last updated: October 2026
The short version
We don't want your data. We don't collect it, store it, or sell it. These tools run entirely in your browser.
What data we collect
No personal data.
RunTK Tools are static, client-side web applications. There is no backend server, no database and no user accounts. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information. The only statistics we see are page-view counts and page speeds from Cloudflare Web Analytics, described under Third-party services.
Where your data lives
Any data you enter into these tools stays in one of two places, unless you use one of the map, routing or weather features listed under Third-party services:
- Your browser: Settings, workout configurations, and preferences are saved to your device using your browser's local storage (
localStorage). This data never leaves your machine. Clearing your browser data removes it. - Intervals.icu: If you choose to connect a tool to intervals.icu, data is sent directly from your browser to the Intervals.icu API using credentials you provide. We never see, intercept, or store your Intervals.icu API key or athlete ID. That transaction is between you and Intervals.icu, and their privacy policy governs that data.
Cookies & tracking
We don't use cookies, tracking pixels, fingerprinting, advertising, or anything that follows you across sites. We do count page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device (see below).
Every script, stylesheet and font is served from runtk.com itself, including the open-source libraries we use (Leaflet, Chart.js) and the Inter typeface. The one exception is Cloudflare's small analytics script (static.cloudflareinsights.com), which Cloudflare adds to each page. Your browser does not contact a CDN or font service to load these pages. The site also tells your browser to block requests to any server not listed below.
Third-party services
These are the only servers other than runtk.com that your browser talks to. Apart from Cloudflare, each is contacted only when you use the feature described. None receives an account, cookie or credential from us.
- Cloudflare Pages: Hosts the site. Cloudflare may collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, etc.) as part of serving the pages. See Cloudflare's privacy statement.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics (static.cloudflareinsights.com, cloudflareinsights.com): Tells us how many people visit each page and how fast pages load. When a page loads, Cloudflare's script sends Cloudflare the page's address and the address of the page you came from (both without any query string), your browser and operating system versions, and how long the page took to load. Like any web request, this also reveals your IP address. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, and Cloudflare says it doesn't collect or use visitors' personal data. We see only totals, never individual visitors.
- Intervals.icu: Only involved if you explicitly choose to use the integration. See Intervals.icu privacy policy.
- OSRM (router.project-osrm.org): Used by the GAP Planner for road route snapping. When you draw a route using Roads or Both mode, GPS coordinates are sent to the OSRM public API to calculate the snapped path. No account or credentials are required or transmitted.
- BRouter (brouter.de): Used by the GAP Planner for trail route snapping. When you draw a route using Trails or Both mode, GPS coordinates are sent to the BRouter public API. No account or credentials are required or transmitted.
- Open-Elevation (api.open-elevation.com): Used by the GAP Planner to fetch elevation data for drawn or imported routes. GPS coordinates are sent to the Open-Elevation public API. No account or credentials are required or transmitted.
- Open-Meteo (api.open-meteo.com, geocoding-api.open-meteo.com): Used by the Workout Weather Planner for forecasts. The place name you search for is sent to the geocoding API, and the chosen location's coordinates and dates are sent to the forecast API. The GAP Planner also sends the coordinates of a point you right-click (or long-press) to look up its elevation. No account or credentials are required or transmitted. See Open-Meteo's terms.
- Map tiles (tile.openstreetmap.org, tile.opentopomap.org, server.arcgisonline.com): The GAP Planner's map downloads image tiles for the area you are viewing from OpenStreetMap (Street), OpenTopoMap (Topo) or Esri (Satellite), depending on the layer you pick. Like any image request, this reveals which map area is on screen. No account or credentials are required or transmitted.
Children's privacy
We don't knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13, because we don't collect data from anyone at all.
Changes
If this policy changes, it will be updated here. Last change: October 2026, adding Cloudflare Web Analytics.
